The builders told us this morning that the ducks appeared to have lost their fear of the noise and the machinery, they'd seen them several times in the frog pond ....... but I only caught them on camera out of the water, twice:
And then I missed another funny sight; I heard that the ducks had separated themselves into these two furrows, and that they had been so intent on foraging in there that the driver of the machine was worried about running them over!
The builders are in the process of digging out the foundations, and the spoil is being spread out behind the donkey shelter [which can be seen in the last picture in the background, on the left of the yellow machine] where there is a big dip in the ground. The work is progressing well!
Mutti I'm losing track of how many comments I have made which vanish into cyberspace.........will try again
ReplyDeletehow does John feel about the tracks in the lawn ?
Wow. Looks like you've lost a conservatory!
ReplyDeleteno, we've still got it stored
ReplyDeleteAnnie, I've just had a "session" with Carl - and as usual he's made things clear to me.
ReplyDeleteLike you I had made several comments which got lost, I used to get a red blob at the bottom of mine which meant that my Google Account password was not right. I corrected it and I was then told that my comment had been published. See if this works for you - oh yes, John DOES NOT like the mess, but I've managed to make him look on the positive side again. It helps that the workmen are really good and getting on with the job. I'll post some more piccies today! Mutti.X
Ah! why cant google put something helpful like "incorrect password" ? I am having a very lazy start to the day after my awful drive around London surburbia yesterday. 5 and a half hours driving and 4 hours in a university cafe ! Thank God I had a good book !!! Black and miserable outside so delaying Ollie's walk and essential trip to post office.
ReplyDeletelook forward to more piccies !
Posted but had to jump through hoops to do it !

ReplyDeleteThat was exactly what Carl said when he realized what the matter was.
Poor you, all that driving in London. Am in the process of trying to cheer you up with lovely ducky photos! Mutti.X
PS: published time is still wrong ..... can I find out how to correct that without the help of my very clever and busy son??????????????????
