House is done

Well, what a blow, beautiful sunshine this morning, did some path clearing in the fruit cage area while the grass was still too wet to mow, did some necessary emailing while waiting for afternoon mow-time ............. and what happens?  It's coming down heavy rain!:

I'll stay in then instead of swanning off on the ride-on, and you get to see pictures of the last few days and the finished house in resplendent render!

While the sun lounge was being sprayed it looked very dark inside.

Before and after photos of various aspects:

Now that everything looks so fresh and clean it has become apparent that some paintwork needs doing!

The compressor was collected this morning, all clear for tidying up now.  I had to go the dentist yesterday afternoon, but as it was just a thorough clean I didn't have to pay.  So whoopdedooh I called in at Beesley's nurseries and spent £50 on winter-hardy plants to brighten up the strip of soil in front of the house - before the roses grow again!

Just a few photos now to show there's still plenty of colour in the garden and the early signs of autumn from here and next door.

And I still can't stop knitting squares for the blankets for the refugees ...
