It's time I said .....

...... why I've not posted for a while, been too upset - John found Jubilee lying dead in the garden on Friday morning. After her day in the duck shed on Tuesday she spent the next two days with the others, seemingly without any problem. On Thursday afternoon, when I'd finished cleaning the huts, I could see her going into the box in her hut a good half hour before bedtime, I thought she'd gone in to lay. My suspicions that "egg-bound" or worms might have caused her to flop down on the ground were not borne out by the autopsy, which showed nothing, no egg, no worms. So with sadness I must say it was an unexplained death, it's hard to bear whether explained or not.
