... it was. In the morning the second AGM of theColeorton & New Lount Volunteer Group took place, and having delivered some cakes for the socializing after the meeting I took just a few photos of the exhibits before most people arrived - that's why the place looks empty.

Here's John studying one of the exhibits.
We didn't get back home until lunch time, and in the afternoon I just sat down and enjoyed myself knitting John's red jumper.

When the ducks had been put in for the night we set off right away for Carl and Val's who'd invited us to take part in a quiz held at Emm and Sarah's grammar school, in the Junior Section. It was the biggest quiz I'd ever taken part in, in the school's sports hall. There were 12 teams of 8 and 10 extensive quiz sections
- we had most trouble with the sheet of silhouettes, got 8 of them wrong. BUT, our team was leading in the points all the way along and actually won the quiz with 387 points, 13 in front of the next team. I must say that John and I didn't contribute a huge amount to the answers, Carl and the 4 ladies who had joined our team got most of them, but it was thrilling to win anyway. It was an excellent night, really well organized, and the [Indian] food served at the beginning and midway through the quiz was great too.
When we came out of the school after 11 there had been a frost and the cars were iced over - we didn't get back home until gone midnight!
