Sunday 19th July

It was pouring this Sunday morning, but it didn't take long for the sun to come out again.  It's been that kind of thing all day long, you can see from the photos below the rain-followed-by-sun effect:












On Saturday I spent all day in the garden, weeding and tying up the sweet peas in the morning and in the afternoon I tackled the Forsythia "ball", which was a ball no longer, the weight of all that lush green growth had split it out of shape  -  it's more like an umbrella now, see 'before and after' below:


In the early evening I managed to cut all the grass except for the two fields.  That was no easy decision because the alternative was an offer from Fiona and Kevin next door to sit on their fabulous outdoor furniture drinking a glass of wine!

I was glad though I got that mowing done as rain was forecast, and it always looks so nice when I look out of the windows afterwards:
