I've finally got around to putting in a blog entry, it's been a busy old time.
We fetched John out of hospital last Sunday afternoon, and he's just got his first appointment on 23.5. to be assessed for treatment. He's bearing up well and manages to do a bit of gardening now and again between receiving lots and lots of visitors.

I managed emptying, cleaning and re-filling the little pond this morning, I had really wanted to do it a couple of weeks earlier but had to wait until the big cherry tree had stopped covering it in blossom!
The local residents obviously felt deprived of their pond, they couldn't wait to get back into the water:
The girls have made a right muddy mess in their enclosure ...
Our troop of ducks and drakes go about their business quite spread out these days, I only see them bunched together when they're having a snooze. Captain and Anke appear to have stopped their big excursions into our neighbouring field, I can see them somewhere in their pond or their bit of field most of the day.
The arrow in this photo points to where John and I put in the pea sticks yesterday.
Bottoms up in the frog pond
Our neighbours had the huge ash tree chopped down severely
and we now get a lot more light into the sunlounge.I've had to take emergency measures - one of John's visitors totally smashed the main group's blue food box as well as the board and roof tile covering it. Four cars parked in front of the house must have been just one too many ...
We tidied up the two greenhouses yesterday, and in the conservatory John had looked so well after the cactus leaves friend Petra sent him that they're about to flower.
Since taking the photos above of plants bursting into bloom I have see loads more - more blooms next time.
Honey has taken to nestling in one of the thyme patches in front of the sun lounge, I often see her taking a nap there these days.
