The excessive number of pheasants continue to be a pain, I chase them several times a day, next door's cat Lucy chases them [and even catches one now and again and makes them lose feathers!], but still they come every day. John has had to secure Dotty's food box as they kept tipping it over. This is the kind of view from the window that greets me first thing; there were 11 here, I counted 15 this morning - and that's not counting those hanging around by the big pond or behind the garage ...
John has serviced his tractor mower and attached the trailer to cart away the many, many bags of soiled duck bedding which he's been burning today far away in the field, the wind was in the right direction for it.
Notice the ducks hanging around near house and garage? That's one of the advantages I have after war has broken out in the duck world, I get to see much more of them!
John has started painting the repaired fence to protect it from the elements, he did two panels this morning [as well as moving all that duck bedding and maintaining the fire] and I managed four this afternoon while he was out. I think they look nice.
