winter back with a vengeance

Hallo Gerd!  I've just seen your mail when you wrote:

Saturday, 23 March 2013, saying winter back with a vengeance.
Now to the strange bit, I saw it yesterday, but now it has disappeared from the page.
Any clues why?

Yes, I can tell you, the brief entry you saw was incomplete;  I added lots of photos, even prepared another blog for today, Sunday, with pictures, and both blogs were giving me so much grief, pictures jumping about, nothing staying as I'd inserted it, that I gave up in disgust and reverted both entries as drafts.  I'll publish yesterday's now then because I know you stay up late, Gerd, and I hope you feel better soon!

We are still negotiating huge amounts of mud in all duck areas, but you can't see it this Saturday morning as it's thickly covered in snow:

The low-down branch of the lilac tree at the back of the house    -   small photo on the right - was actually broken off with the weight of the wet snow.

The pheasants still manage to get their food - as do the ducks. Daisy is leading them in the photo below:

Candi keeps her distance because the two black boys drive her away.

This is Honey striding out in front.

                                                             Getting ready for bed...

There are two little splashes of red in the house to cheer us on these black and white days, the geranium flowering in the sun lounge and the hibiscus on the bathroom window sill.
