

This is how the 2 big groups gather in front of the shed every evening, and then the 11 turn right - as in the small photo - to go into their enclosure. Only in this case they were all running away from Gerd who was trying his best to take photos of them. We finally got them posing, sort of, when we gave them half of the watermelon Gerd and Maria had brought as presents for them [along with two whole cucumbers!]:




Gerd took many lovely photographs of our autumnal garden. I interfered a little in the one on the left when I peered round the corner just as he went "click".
On the Saturday morning we went to Donington-le-Heath Manor House. John and I had never been there, and we all enjoyed our walkabout enormously.








I particularly loved the garden and this Black Mulberry tree.

Maria and Gerd came loaded up again with far too many wonderful "early birthday" presents for me - this huge Rowney box is just one of them,
and because I didn't take a single photo of the two of them while they were here I post these from one of their previous little trips:
