Our dodgy phone line finally died yesterday morning after the workmen started taking the plaster off the walls and remove our old front door, so we've been unable to use telephone/internet for two days - I've been using my mobile, Annie, can you believe it?
BT engineer has been today, turns out telephone wires have been corroding for ages, no wonder we've been having problems with phone calls and frequent broadband failures [particularly in wet weather!]. All ok now.
Now some photos from yesterday:

Our two happy workmen Dave and Dean.

The porch as it looked yesterday at the end of the working day, and this afternoon [right] when the job was finished.
I did some more work in the holly hedge on the field side of our "formal garden":

The hedge I was massacre-ing last week can be seen at the back of this photo.

The grass is starting to grow where we dug out some shrubs and trees weeks ago,
and the lonicera formosa has got lovely dangly bracts/flowers - thank you, Gerd!
