Jubilee is a girl!

I thought I'd heard quacking coming from her a couple of times, but as she's so big I thought she must be a drake.  This afternoon, however, during our tea break by the pond, Jay-Z mated with her  - and I'm sure he knows what he's doing!  She's in front in the photo below, she still has a bit of the Mohawk, Annie.

I took a few photos during every one of the last three days we were out doing gardening jobs, generally tidying up, pulling out nettles, cutting hedges, mowing, weeding etc, but we did pause for tea and photos:

Those two lying down left of the tree are Purdy and Honey again.

The two ducks you can see walking away in front of the hut are Anke and Candida, they're not at all happy about this huge invasion of their domain.  Candy in particular is really miffed and keeps out of the way as much as possible.  But I did see her pecking two other girls away when they got too close to her.

The ground search going on in the last two pictures was for peas I'd thrown them, yesterday it had been pieces of cucumber.  Most of them are very appreciative!

Extensive preening sessions are going on all the time, they're moulting - 2 pictures below:

We started eating the grapes today, delicious!
