Frightful Friday

We had a whole day without rain yesterday [until 6 pm when we had a brief hail storm], and it was sunny and warm!.

We went walking with the Moira group in the morning, in the Outwoods where we'd last been to see the bluebells with Petra and Klaus.  It was a lovely amble through the sun-dappled woods.  After our lunch at the Copt Oak John went out on he ride-on mower and cut grass until gone half past 5.  I cleaned all three duck huts, picked a load of red currants and raspberries, and then moved the metal fencing out of the enclosure and "encircled" the greenhouses with it.  After opening the back gate it gave Billie-Jean, Gertie and the "kids" a chance to get out of the mud and run around in a new grassy area.  They investigated it right away, all around - only I did not have the camera with me yet, and by the time I'd fetched it they were back by the pond.

So with the rain hammering down outside - which according to the weather charts is going to get much worse - let's cheer ourselves up with a few sunny photos from yesterday!
