Conservatory ...

... went up very quickly yesterday after the preliminary [cleaning] work John had done on it.  The workmen team of 4 turned up just after half past 8, and half an hour later they had got this far:

They went on steadily with just a couple of cups of tea while they worked, they had finished before we finished our lunch....

                                                                            ... and they managed this in spite of the watching public ...

This morning I took a picture from the inside, it seems very large with no furniture in it.  John wants
to use it like a tropical greenhouse and put the peach tree into it.  I'm planning to buy him a banana tree!

While I had the camera with me I took a couple of shots of the "babies" rooting around, and then there was a big noise coming from the pond at the bottom - drakes from the 13 terrorizing Candy and Anke again, I thought. Yes indeed, there stood Jay-Z and Joseph looking into the enclosure, but what was that, Georgie came running out of the hut and slipped back out under the fence I'd spent so many hours mending and thought drake-proof!  

All 13 then trooped off as if nothing had ever happened and settled down in front of the house.
