Our drakes are getting more ducks!

Our friend Mel [5 of our group of 10 last year hatched out of eggs sent from her] sent us news yesterday morning that a young man in her village had hatched runners [some of them also from her eggs] a year ago.


Great news!  I found the telephone number against the address Mel had given us and left a message on their answerphone yesterday lunchtime.  Last night the young man rang back; yes, he had the 5 - 6 ducks we wanted and we could fetch them tomorrow evening [Wednesday, John's birthday]!


Our drakes will be thrilled.  Also Anke, and especially Candida, will hopefully get some peace again.
