bluetits!

The nesting box for bluetits which John fixed to the back of the house only a few days ago has been occupied.   Sorry about the slightly fuzzy photos below, I was so EXCITED!

A pair of them have decided they like this new house, but as they have trouble squeezing[literally!] themselves in and out of the entrance they've been busy with alterations for a couple of days, making the hole larger.  We can hear the knock knock knocking noises from the sun room, and this morning I managed to get a few shots of the bluetits flitting through the still bare lilac next to the box and then pecking away at the opening, inside and out:

I had a go at a little video again, hope it works....

.... and having just closed the camera after filming I could see Jay-Z back from his morning's excursion to the big pond - by the time I'd got the camera ready again he had flown back over, DRAT!
