Taffy is still with us

This morning I daren't look into the hut in case ..... John went and opened both huts.  Just as well, I overslept heavily till nine because I'd had a sleepless night.

Having thought a lot overnight I convinced myself that Taffy has not caught DVE, her droppings looked ever so healthy, not a touch of green or the runs, that I thought it couldn't be.  What I did see in the pond, though, was something like a white thread, and I believe that was a tapeworm.  So John got some Flubenvet this afternoon, I mixed a sprinkling with pellets and put a dish of it into the hut along with a heavy bottomed pan of water.  If she has trouble walking at least she has food and water within reach.

I was pleased to see that Taffy was back in the nest box - this morning she'd been in hiding behind it.  And she's still feisty, she hissed at me and attacked the water pan with her beak.  Keep all fingers crossed for her, please, we do!
