The rendered extension is drying out well, once it's been painted white it'll certainly look part of the whole.
I felt warm enough in the afternoon to have a weeding session, and the ducks thought that was a very good idea:
From past experience with them I provided a bucket of water which they made very good use of - also of the bird bath:

These peaceful occupations continued for some time until Anabelle suddenly stood up straight and gave loud alarm. I couldn't see anything worrying so went to investigate at the duck pond where nearly all the ducks had gone by now - the five mallards, 2 pairs and an extra male, had landed in the pond, I'd seen this little group on a couple of days recently. I chased them off and the ducks were quiet again.
Mentioning Anabelle reminds me, she was always first in line whenever I was out there with a spade or wheelbarrow, but her position has definitely been usurped by the Welsh girls, THEY rush in first, don't mind being whacked with the little fork by accident, and Anabelle defers to them and stands back, amazing!
It wasn't long before the group of mallards were back, intent on getting some food.
In this photo our lot are keeping a close watch on them but don't bother chasing them away. I went round their back to get some photos, and they slowly waddled away from me until I got too close to them for their liking and they took off, right in my face.

Note that I only 'captured' the 3 boys - the 2 girls were already up and away!
