I heard knocking ...

... downstairs, and it sounded just like bluetits doing a bit of carpentry work on their box.

I didn't see any on the box while I sat watching, camera at the ready, but I did spot a few in the lilac tree beyond:

 

 












As forecast, it got very cold overnight.  I took these frosty photos before going out to let the ducks out armed with 3 buckets full of water [no, not all at once, one after the other!].  The moon photos below are from a couple of nights ago when the brightness woke me up at about 02.30.
