No, the flowers are not for Charlotte, although I hope she gets some for her birthday today - have a great day, Darling!
Of course, they're the bunches for the tables and one or two helpers at the Cameo Luncheon Club where we are on duty today. I was really pleased this morning when I saw that the daffodils - which were just buds when I cut them yesterday - had opened up overnight.
I've not put pictures in lately of how the build is progressing. After the spectacular rise of the extension itself and the roof tiling finished the work has continued on the inside, they're busy plastering upstairs and down:

Some time ago they started a competion in the local schools to design a logo for our 'Coleorton and New Lount Volunteer Group'. The winner was a young boy, and I think his design is wonderful:

John offered to do duck duties for me this morning and he's just come in laughing his head off. He'd seen Candida in the pond at the bottom, Hedda on top of her and Anabelle on top of her 'having a threesome', he said. Well! I've seen the girls having a go at each other with their mock matings and Captain always looking on quite unconcerned [he does it for real whenever he feels like it], but I've never seen a threesome!
John also came across a 'first' in the top hut: FOUR eggs today. That means one of the older ducks has joined the three young ones in laying, yippeeh!
