........ another big event today, Hedda's first egg of the year, hurrah!  How do I know that it was Hedda's?  Well, it was lying in the bottom hut, and anyway, she always lays the largest eggs - although this one was no giant, it's the one on the very left in the picture above, the two others are from Saturday from the top hut, for comparison.
By the way, have I mentioned that we had FOUR eggs in the top hut last Wednesday [2.3.], which meant that one of the "older ladies" had joined the three young ones in laying. And the very next day all seven in the top hut had layed, four on Friday, two on Saturday, one on Sunday, and today ....... none [must be the cold weather!].  So I was particularly pleased about Hedda's.  I wonder what we'll get tomorrow morning.
Today was another day when we saw the builders only briefly, but the electricians had quite a lot to do.  When they left this afternoon we had new lights, upstairs and down:

The windows are due to be delivered tomorrow, we'll see how things will progress then.
