Remembering brother Helmut

You are right, Gerd, I should have penned a little blog entry while thinking about Helmut on his birthday - he would have been 90 today.  This is the lovely photo you sent me of Helmut and Hilde on their wedding day [but Helmut always said he got married on Friday 13th - or was that the Registry wedding?]:

The garden is full of flowers at the moment, one lot of blossom follows another.  I took these two bunches to two nice people yesterday along with some eggs:

I was out gardening early today, had a chat with neighbour Fiona through a gap in the conifers, then friends Molly and Arnold came to visit and brought me some fudge from their holidays, and then I was out gardening again, mainly tidying up.  It's still very windy, but it turned lovely and sunny.

Dotty had company from Gertie and Billie-Jean, they needed a rest after the boys had been pursuing them:

In the conservatory the calamondine is still going great, and after following friend Petra's advice on hanging up the leaf cacti I can see a lot of buds developing.  I'm way behind Petra, though, hers already have large open blooms...
