Mothering Sunday

By a coincidence, on this Mothering Sunday, it would have been Gerd and my mother's birthday today, the Ides of March!
As it had been John's turn to provide the flowers for his Church I prepared this bunch yesterday and thought of Mother whom I sadly only knew for 10 years of my life.
I delivered the flowers when I went to attend a Fish&Chip supper last night - which I enjoyed very much!

I had visitors again, well before 8 this morning.  Thankfully they stayed the other side of the style, but there were four of them this time, I got worried ....

But then I got a very welcome visitor in the person of Carl.  He came early, too, as he had to go a little later to pick up younger daughter Sarah from a Volleyball event.  In no time at all he supplied my computer and iPad with 3½ days' of music [if played continuously], sorted a couple of things I couldn't do, and then we managed to get the broken tractor mower into the garage - having established that the linkage cable was broken and frayed.
I'm so lucky with my two children, I wouldn't ever need any of the presents they insist on giving me - and still they keep giving me more, as you can see in the photo above.

I brightened up my home too, with some more little scented flowers in the downstairs loo and I refreshed the bunch inside the book shelf.

You can see in the background of this one that I've started the long-planned "muriel" on the facing wall:
