PS on Monday 10th morning: saw for the first time this year Honey taking flight, just like she did last November. She flew low from one of the food bowls she so annoyingly sits herself in every morning to stop the others from getting at it, right down to the frog pond where the rest had run to. I'll be watching out tomorrow and see if I can video her flight.
Also forgot to mention that we had ground frost [and on the car] on two days last week, the second time there was a layer of ice on the water containers, the hose was frozen, and I had to lug water for the first time - the weather has turned milder again since then,
Before another week goes by without posting an entry I took a few shots through the windows this morning, nearly all the leaves are off the trees now.
I'm pleased to say that after the grey start the day turned beautifully sunny and I enjoyed my drive to the hospital. Before I left at 11 I put a chicken, potato and parsnips into the oven at 160ÂșC, and when I returned 4 hours later it was all rather well done but still edible! Must say I was glad I travelled into Leicester in the morning, because the traffic queues into the city at half past 2 were never ending - a Leicester Tigers Rugby match, starting at 3 I believe.
If all goes well John should come home in a couple of days' time.
