Ducky update

Early on Monday morning I took down the big plastic sun ~ and rain shield I'd stretched over the little pond, thought Dotty was capable enough to make herself comfortable whether there was rain or shine.  True enough, yesterday, on that rain-sodden day, when checking up on Dotty after our return from Luncheon Club duty, I found her sitting in the hut, feathers on her back looking rather wet - clever little stick!

Her favourite place during non-wet days like today is here, on the bit of grassy verge between the top greenhouse and little pond, where she has a good view of all proceedings:

I was cleaning out all three huts today and had a good opportunity to snap the ducks, all 16 were having a rest immediately behind the bottom hut, the resident Anke and Captain right in the middle of them - peace at last!
Honey, peeking.

These last two pictures for today are for Michael and Peaneh, who were asking why they hadn't seen any photos of our "conifer corner", one of their favourite bits of our garden.  This is why, the whole area is in desperate need of a cut and a weeding!
