Ducks don't like snow

I think I wrote that Captain and his two very nearly went into the duck shed on Wednesday night, Candy's refusal to join them made me conduct them to their bottom hut once more - I nearly picked Candy up seeing her struggle.  Thursday night, however, all three went in with the crowd, no, not into the shed but into the hut that John had built which is only big enough for 10 at most, and when 15 came out of there yesterday morning I was gobsmacked.  I don't know how they sorted themselves on Thursday night, but I did see Billie-Jean lingering by the empty half melon I'd given them for something to do, really, they did enjoy it, and Billie had to go into the shed as her hut had already closed on 15 of them.

Captain and Anke couldn't have enjoyed being squashed into that hut, and last night they voluntarily went towards their's early - poor Candy trundled behind and John shut them in.

Yesterday, Friday, it snowed all day.  Even with changing their water and giving them a stick of brussels to go at they were lost at what to do with themselves.  Several times they struggled down to the big pond in the hope that it had been restored to their normal playground.  Once they all turned up at the sunlounge door - if I'd been downstairs then I might have been tempted to let them in ....

Brother Gerd received the jumper I knitted him yesterday and was very pleased with it:
