that was so sweet!

Sitting after breakfast this morning watching the Olympics [stunning performances yesterday, we're glued to the television all day!] some of our drakes came looking in at the door - I often wonder if they remember the time they spent THIS side of the door as little ones last year.  And then I could see that two of the new girls from Seagrave were sitting side by side in one of the thyme patches on the terrace, nibbling at the thyme just as I wanted them to.
So I rushed upstairs to get the camera and fired off a load of shots through the glass so as not to disturb them:















 



I thought they looked so sweet!

When I shifted myself to the right to get a better camera angle they were off:

But when I looked through the window in between the leaf cactus I could see they hadn't gone far, they were just at the edge of the terrace:
 

I'd been wondering what to call the stripey mallard coloured one, she's a very PRETTY slender duck, so I've called her PURDY now.  The other one is the lighter of the fawn coloured one which I've called Honey.
