At first I thought there was just one more hatched overnight, but then I realized I had not seen the mostly black or the white one yesterday. Luckily I could see the other one from yesterday on this photo peering out from behind Gertie's bottom top right:
We've already had an adventure - After running in the house all excited to upload these pictures I looked out to see if one of the ducks had come out to drink, feed and preen ...... what I saw were two tiny ducklings at the foot of the ramp, oh no, they might drown in the pond! So I rushed out to rescue them and found them at the side of the pond:
Luckily they were cheeping all the time and I could follow their progress through the raspberries and nettles, and I could scoop them up when they were trapped between the garage wall and a large stone, phew! They were very happy to snuggle back under the mummies who made comforting noises.
While I had the camera with me I thought it was about time I took photos of the 3 at the big pond - Candy looks a whole lot better now. In the first picture she has just "landed" after flying out of the hut, and John can be seen top right where he's been weeding the new strawberry bed:
Think this s going to be more of a roller coaster ride for all of us than the incubator lot !!!! So sweet !!!
