Carl and family paid us a brief visit on their way to volleyball training - to see the little ducklings, of course. Just the two newly hatched from this morning could be seen outside in all the mud [I shall move the enclosure tomorrow to get them out of the dirt] with auntie Gertie ...
..... who took fright and fled into the hut. The two babies went and hid under the ramp where Carl was able to fish them out. Daughter Sarah and friend Gabi were very happy to hold them briefly before they were put back into the hut with mummy:
