it's raining today

Having been able to do a bit of gardening yesterday and even getting some washing dry outside we're back to lots of rain today.  Never mind, the ducks LOVE it!  I've not been outside today yet - John did duck duties this morning and is now doing volunteer work at New Lount Wood - but I've taken a few shots from the window:

No, Hedda wasn't among this lot milling around, she was by a water bucket preening herself.  In this photo below you can also see one of the waterhens running away from the food container - every time these feisty little birds turn up they cause a lot of protesting noise from our assembled ducks!

Our bird food station on the 2-stemmed birch now also includes a Christmas present from Trish and Ray, the "doughnut" peanut feeder.  I don't think I've 'caught' any little birds on this shot, but I did on the two photos below:

My efforts of uploading little videos to YouTube haven't been very successful, some failed attempts and one doubling up  -  can anyone tell me how to delete unwanted videos?  There is another one, though, from last Wednesday 18th, where the gang eventually plucked up courage to run very close to me and off around the corner of the garage to the big pond:
