another rainy Tuesday, 23.11.11

Hedda came up to the frog pond again yesterday afternoon, and I managed three photos.  In the third all 15 of our mixed bunch can be seen:

    One of them might easily have erupted underneath their bottoms! We're wondering every year why mole activity increases so much around this time, could it be that this year's young are seeking new territory? It certainly makes for ankle-breaking pathways to the ponds!
