Annie and Eleanor took so many wonderful photos, I just have to post a few more, starting with three featuring Elle and a protesting little duckling:

Our 5 survivors were not neglected by the photographers, either.

In this photo Captain is lying down on the left and all four girls are looking at him ..........................
.............. so very obligingly he got up and went off with them:

I took some photos of them as well, in the afternoon:

I haven't yet posted my efforts from Saturday morning, when I put down a large dish of water and some towels, expecting our minis to jump in and have a great time splashing in and out of the water, just like our first 11 did in 2005.  It didn't go as expected:

"What, we're supposed to go in there?"

"Let's see what it tastes like first."

"Hmm, doesn't seem too bad."

"Ok then, I'm going in!"

Well you two can do what you like, I'm off out!"

"And we're going right outside!"

Our little ducklings greet us with a loud chirruping chorus whenever they see us, and just plain grain and water is not good enough now.  They have had quite a varied diet so far, apart from the normal ground up mixed grains they've had chopped up nettles, dandelions, clover, thyme, oregano, daisies, a small amount of chopped up hard boiled egg, grated carrot, steamed peas/carrots[left overs from Sunday lunch], squashed banana, oats, tomato and ...... the biggest hit of them all, CUCUMBER!

I gave them some more peas and carrots for lunch today, but it wasn't quite the hit I had expected, they came peering up at me and asked if I didn't have something more exciting like cucumber:

Annie's "pretty boy" was so disappointed he went straight back into the bedroom:

Our mini Campbell appears to have solved the squashed potato problem by herself with frequent bathing and preening, her head looks nice and round now.
